If I had to pick one it would be EDT, I think it similar to EDP but smells a little better to my nose and longevity is the same for both for me. If you want my opinion for date night, I would highly recommend la nuit de lhomme, or prada black.
I've owned both the EDT and EDP and the EDP definitely is richer and stronger smelling overall but that doesn't mean the EDT is weak by any stretch of the imagination.
