I am looking to find a chain strap I could replace the leather strap with for when I attend events or going out in the future. However, I'm having trouble finding one that would match the type of GHW my bag has, its more of an antique or brushed type gold colour. It's my first time having to get one fixed - the leather piping on the side of the bag just came off and I know for a fact that it's a quality issue and not wear and tear because the bag is very well taken care of. I actually went to the YSL store to ask and the SA told me that only the ones you bought from the store itself will get a free repair. If you bought yours from dept stores then you will have to pay but they do take in repairs for all ysl. I hope this helps. If you bought it at a YSL store, take it there & they should repair it for free 99% of the time. I always take my bags in for repairs if something breaks off. If you did not buy it from a YSL store, let’s say Nordstrom, they might not but try anyways.
